HELLO!!
Wow, what a few weeks it has been! In CHAOS we have been going through the series of "Stuck Together", a series about family! Our biggest messages have been - You can make an impact on your family, your family can change but God doesn't, your family doesn't have to be perfect for God to use them! We have loved this series because no matter where kids are at with their family, no family is perfect and we can be aware of how we can love our friends who have families that look different!
We will be wrapping it up with talking about friendship this week with Ben Fineup!
What's Coming Up In CHAOS!
Next week we will be talking about relationships and sex at CHAOS. This has been such a big night for us! This is a time where jr high students are starting to be exposed to what relationships are, what sex is, what does God have to do with it, and how can we honor God, others, and ourselves when it comes to sex and relationships... Brenna Homewood will be giving this message, and following the message girls and boys will split up into rooms with leaders, leading a panel up front to answer questions and talk about how students can learn more about sexual integrity. We will be posting the message the following week in our CHAOS podcast.
Ski & Shop Recap!
We loved ski & shop, and this year leaders thought it was the best yet to come! We loved learning about our theme "RENEWED" - how we can take renew our mind, what we tell ourselves and insert truth God gives us so that we can grow confident and on a firm foundation! Romans 12:2 does a great job supporting our theme! We had students learn so much from skiing, dance a little in worship, how to order food at the mall, and that it is possible for a student to eat a whole gallon of ice cream. Attached are a few recap videos made to help show what this trip looked like!
