What is Big House?
Big House is a mid-week event with worship, teaching, and small groups for high school students in the Cedar Valley and surrounding towns. It is a great chance to see friends and Big House staff, enjoy snacks from the Coffee House, and most of all, to worship and take steps toward Jesus.
Who goes to Big House?
Each week around 200 students from over 8 high schools join together in the Orchard Hill Church Community Center to worship and have a great time! Students come from many different places. We welcome EVERYONE…and believe that there is a place at Big House for you no matter where you are in your faith walk. Hopefully Big House can help you to ask questions and consider taking steps closer to Jesus!

What if I’m interested in getting into a small group (LUG)?
We are encouraging every student to get plugged into a LUG/small group on Wednesday nights. We will work hard to find the group that best fits you and we’ll be putting the groups together during the first few weeks of Big House. Please talk to Kris Hoskinson if you have ideas about forming a group.
Are there other ways to be encouraged in my faith during the week?
Cedar Falls Students- Breakfast Club is every Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. during the school year in the school cafeteria. Come for free breakfast and encouragement to start off your day! Breakfast Club is held EVERY Tuesday that school is in session unless there are delays or cancellations.
NU Students- Lunch Bunch is held on Thursdays at 11:15 a.m. during the school year. It is a chance to eat free pizza together for lunch & to be encouraged.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck Students- Breakfast Club on Thursday mornings from 7:30am - 8am Breakfast, fellowship, encouragement to begin the day!
All Students - the Big House staff would love to meet with you any time to grab lunch or hot chocolate and to talk. Feel free to contact them any time to set up an appointment!

Big House is sponsored by Orchard Hill Church, Nazareth Lutheran Church, St. John’s Lutheran Church, and the Cedar Falls Church of Christ. We have a great team made up of staff and MANY volunteers from the Cedar Valley and surrounding towns. Big House is an event open to all high school students…We hope to see you there!
What if I’m an adult that is interested in volunteering?
If you have a passion for teenagers, we’d love to hear from you! We have many great opportunities to help you find your place to serve- whether it be helping with sound, hanging out with students, making videos, helping in the Coffee House, leading a small group, or much more!
